Update - 10 weeks

9 weeks
******************************************************

10 weeks

How far along:  About 10 weeks. Dr said that baby is measuring a little smaller than that but he said to keep the same Due Date of Sept 4.

Current weight: 118 this morning

Total weight gain: +3 lbs

Waist measurement: 31 in right under the belly button

Innie or Outie:  Always been an outie

How big is baby G:  Size of a Prune - Average size: 1.2 inches, .14 oz.

With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.) ~~from TheBump.com

Maternity Clothes: Still wearing regular jeans but with the handy dandy Bella Band.  I have bought some maternity shirts but some are entirely too big right now. Having to wear regular clothes and looking like I bought it too small.

Stretchmarks: None that I can see. My mother still has her stretchmarks from me, so I know I am doomed. I was using a lotion for stretchmarks but the smell started making me nauseated so I stopped using. Currently using no lotion.

Sleep/Fatigue: Been tired but nothing really out of the ordinary. I am always on the go with school and work so I've always been tired from that. I do try to get my naps in. As many of you know, I love to take naps :0)

Exercising: I've been speed walking for 30-45 min.  But it's not an everyday thing since my schedule won't allow it. I feel great after I've done it though. I do some weights to stay toned but nothing extreme.

Food Cravings: No weird food cravings. At this point, just trying to eat anything that doesn't make me nauseaus. I'm loving cheesesticks and plain vanilla ice cream from McDonalds.

Nausea/Vomiting: Both. Yesterday, I threw up all my lunch at work. Barely made the bathroom. Went to the Dairy Queen to get a small cheeseburger and blizzard. Came home and threw it up too.  We thought the vomiting was due to my prenatal pills that I take at night. So I stopped them temporarily. But I still throw up so I guess that's not it either.  Throwing up is still a good sign though. Means there are hormones there, meaning baby is still there. So I won't complain too much.

What I miss: My once long ago semi-flat belly

What I look forward to:  12th week for Baby G!! First trimester will then be behind us.

How Daddy Charlie is coping: Charlie is doing great. Such a great nurse. Always there to comfort me and hold my hair as I'm yacking away in the toilet. Willing to go anywhere for food. Doing a lot of the housework. Overall, just being the greatest hubby ever as always.  Oh yeah. I thought he would get repulsed that I'm starting to get bigger and bigger, but apparently he thinks it's super sexy. Makes me feel a little better about my new figure.

How I'm coping: Pregnancy is not so bad - aside the nausea and vomiting. But that could still be worse so I'm thankful for mine and Baby G's health. Been a lot more self-conscious about my weight that I thought I would be. But I'm sure I'll have to get over that soon. I'm ready to be done with school so that I can focus more on Baby G's nursery and baby stuff instead of reading my textbooks all the time.  Work kicks my tail now. I used to could tug and pull and push with no problems. Now my back hurts the day after. Also my legs kill me for being up on them 12 hrs at a time.

How the grandparents are coping: Grandparents on both sides are super excited. Charlie's mom has already started the buying for the baby. They are all ready to spoil baby and then give baby back to me and Charlie.

Next Dr. Appt: Feb 23 with Dr.Keeley. Hoping to hear the baby's heart beat then!!
